Independence Day

Independence day is celebrated with a different theme every year. This year the life story of Raja Ram Mohan Roy was showcased through his life anecdotes, songs and exhibition. The school community was made aware of his life and sacrifices and celebrated with their hearts full of pride for the nation. Indeed, it was a celebration of love and respect for the country, instilling in the SVBISDians the value and reverence for the gift of freedom by the great leaders of the country.

Republic Day

This year through the Republic day celebrations the life and achievements of Rabindranath Tagore were portrayed via virtual dramatization. The school community was filled with a feeling of patriotism and dedication gathered in the celebration.

Hindi Diwas

Being one of the most diverse nations in the world, India is a place where numerous traditions, customs, religions and languages flourish. Our National language is our identity. Its significance and interesting facts related to the Hindi language are emphasized Hindi Diwas conducted through assembly and other day-long events

Navratri Celebration: Dandiya Raas and Garba Night

The little SVBISDians attired in traditional dresses add to the festive mood. Students are apprised about the importance of the nine days of Navratri, the nine forms of Goddess Durga and how the Navratri celebration symbolizes victory over evil.

Diwali

The Festival of Light is celebrated by the school community with festive fervour. The celebration of Diwali comes alive at SVBISD when the whole school wears a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors. The students talk about the significance of the festival - how good always conquers evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also share the guidelines on being safe while bursting them

Christmas

Christmas is the festival that inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, student leaders of SVBISD celebrate the festival with enthusiasm. The school is beautifully decorated and all are dressed in red and white. The students sing melodious carols and dance beautifully to wish their teachers and classmates. The significance of the festival is explained to the students through the Christmas story. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival is visible on the faces of all the children.

Ganesh Chaturthi

Our School Community welcomes Lord Ganesha to our school for one and a half days. Students experience the profound culture of India and participate wholeheartedly in this event. The students celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with great pomp and gaiety
